Effective July 2015, Canadian families are entitled to an enhanced monthly amount for their children. Previously families with children under the age of 5 received $100; this has been increased to $160 per month. For children 6-17, the amount was $0 and has been increased to $60 per month. The payment is retroactive to January 2015, which means that on or about July 20, 2015 you should be receiving an additional $360 per child.
